Uponor Quik Trak Panels

In-floor hydronic radiant heating systems provide heat quietly and efficiently, eliminating the need for radiators or vents in the living space. Best of all, they make occupants more comfortable and give them a warm floor to walk on. Radiant heat systems are perfect for new construction projects, where PEX tubing can be embedded in the slab.

For retrofit projects and suspended floors, consider Uponor's Quik Trak panels. Compatible with 5/16” PEX tubing, Quik Trak panels measure 4-feet long and create 7-inch spacing between tubing. Secure the Quik Trak above the subfloor, placing the finished floor on top of the panels. Wood flooring can be nailed directly to Quik Trak, which uses an aluminum layer to transfer heat evenly. SupplyHouse.com offers Quik Trak packages and a calculator to determine material requirements for specific projects.

Honeywell RedLINK Thermostats

Honeywell’s RedLINK technology continues to give homeowners more options for home comfort control. RedLINK signals allow compatible devices to connect wirelessly and have been successfully tested in homes up to 10,000 square feet. Current RedLINK-enabled thermostats include wireless FocusPRO and all Prestige models.

RedLINK signals allow wireless connections with equipment interface modules and zoning panels, reducing the number of wires in the living space. RedLINK indoor and outdoor remote sensors and Portable Comfort Controls give end users more information and flexibility. Released last year, Honeywell’s RedLINK Internet Gateway takes this flexibility to a new level, letting users control their thermostats from smart phones or anywhere with an internet connection.

Pre-Insulated AquaPEX

AquaPEX tubing from Uponor is the only PEX-A grade potable water PEX sold on SupplyHouse.com. PEX-A is the highest grade for PEX. Its superior shape memory makes it more flexible and easier to work with. It has better freeze-resistance than PEX-B and PEX-C tubing, and gives installers the ability to fix kinks by applying heat. Only PEX-A is compatible with expansion-type fittings. Such fittings, including Uponor’s ProPEX fittings, have a larger diameter and provide more flow than any other type of PEX adapters.

AquaPEX tubing comes in red, blue, and white to make it easy to identify hot and cold lines. Pre-insulated AquaPEX comes pre-fabricated with 1/2” of insulation with an R-value of approximately 3.0 (depending on tube size). The insulation adds to the tubing’s freeze-resistance, slows heat loss, and helps save time during installation.
