Cast Iron Taco pumps are designed for use in hydronic heating systems. The most popular of these is the Taco 007 Pump. Bronze pumps are designed for use with hot/cold water systems. For purposes of radiant heat, if you are using a cast iron Taco Pump, you must have an oxygen barrier for your pex tubing. This would include Wirsbo HePEX and ThermaPEX Barrier Tubing.
