Quality of PEX Tubing

PEX tubing comes in three grades, PEX-a, PEX-b, and PEX-c. The grade of PEX is determined by the process in which the poly-ethylene is cross-linked and this process greatly effects the quality of the PEX. PEX-a is the highest quality PEX, with a superior bending radius and the ability to hold its shape where PEX-b and PEX-c cannot. PEX-a also features an even cross-linking of the molecules which creates a more uniform and stronger product.
