Radiant Heat Transfer Plates

Tubing for in-floor hydronic radiant heating systems functions most effectively in concrete slabs, but you can still have warm surfaces on upper floors of your home. Uponor’s Joist Trak panels make this possible. While you can install PEX tubing in under-floor joists without heat transfer panels, suspended pipe installations require higher water temperatures. Staple-up jobs can lead to uneven surface temperatures and “striping” on finished floors. Joist Trak panels solve both these problems, transmitting heat evenly at lower water temperatures. Available for both 3/8” and 1/2” PEX, Joist Trak panels are typically used in 16” joist bays with 8” tube spacing.
