MANABLOC: 2 or 3 Supply Adapters?

The Viega MANABLOC manifold for “home-run” distribution of PEX lines to individual plumbing fixtures requires 3/4” or 1” supply adapters. Specially designed threaded, crimp, or PEX Press adapters can be used at the single hot and two cold supply ports. Most installations only require two adapters (one for hot and one for cold), as these installations supply cold water to the water heater by branching off the main line. In such situations, the MANABLOC supply port cap should be used to close off the unused port. Add Ports to a MANABLOC

Viega’s MANABLOC plumbing manifold allows you to run a separate line to each fixture from a central location. Each line has its own shut-off, making maintenance on one line possible without cutting off water to the rest of the house. Water reaches fixtures more quickly with these “home run” setups, while pressure stays more stable if multiple fixtures are running.

Each MANABLOC is divided between hot and cold on the inside and has a set number of hot and cold distribution ports. If you need to add more ports, a MINIBLOC may be installed in-line.
