Can I Use PEX With Steam?

Although PEX tubing is extremely versatile and can be used in a variety of applications, it should never be used in steam systems. The maximum liquid temperature that PEX can withstand is around 180 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature of steam is much hotter and you will run the risk of damaging your PEX pipe.
